About
My early fascination with innovation and technology led me to discuss a TED Talk about 3D-printed, biocompatible kidneys during my medical school interview, an experience and first memory that serves as a cornerstone of my journey into innovation and biotechnology. I would read in awe of the scientific discoveries and novel solutions, which naturally evolved into a passion for finding solutions myself for aesthetics and skin aging. Since then, I have delved deeply into the biology of skin and facial aging, exploring the concept of cellular senescence and the broader hallmarks of aging. These studies exposed me to groundbreaking research suggesting that reversing or halting certain aspects of aging may be possible.
In parallel, I have been drawn to the field of aesthetics, and I soon realized its connection to aging. I figured studying skin aging and the possible reversal strategies may lead me to find novel solutions; there are promising options! These may be of great interest to the skin care industry. This may lead to easier access to capital relative to other specialties that rely more heavily on NIH-grant funding. And in studying skin aging, we could leverage knowledge-gained and apply it to aging in general. With the ultimate goal of extending healthspan. Realizing that understanding how skin cells age and function has straightforward applications for both cosmetics and overall health. The potential to integrate regenerative strategies into aesthetic medicine is profound and may ultimately transform how we approach skin care, facial surgery, and longevity.
I created this space to share recent developments, exchange ideas, and invite discussion on all aspects of the topics that I plan on discussing – facial cosmetic surgery, regenerative medicine, aesthetics, longevity, and aging. Traditional avenues for publishing research can be slow and costly, and they often lack the dynamic engagement needed to foster immediate conversation. Here, I hope to provide timely insights, encourage dialogue, and learn from your perspectives as well.
If, like me, you are intrigued by the intersection of aesthetics, longevity, and regenerative medicine, I invite you to join in. Please feel free to contribute your thoughts, questions, and experiences. Together, we can explore these rapidly evolving fields and work toward a more informed, healthier, and sexier future!
